Come on Thursday evening to get your bearings, meet presenters, get comfortable with the site and help out with set-up. Or do your own thing – help organise a bonfire, strum and drum, make new friends.

Tikkun Trek is an optional extra and begins at 12.30 on Thursday 27 August.

Fest takes place amid the sumptuous surroundings and luscious landscapes of the Peak District National Park - only three hours from London, 30 minutes from Sheffield and 90 minutes from Manchester.

The very best way to experience Fest is to camp.

You can choose from several campsites:
Mishpacha - for families
Sheket - for a little peace and quiet
Balagan - if you don't mind a noisier, traditional festival campsite.

Each site has showers and portable chemical toilets.

Don't worry if you're a first time camper - there will be lots of experienced campers on hand to help you pitch your tent.

you can stay indoors. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean, with shared shower, bath and toilet facilities. There aren't many indoor rooms - mostly with bunk beds, with some singles and some twins - and we allocate them first-come, first-served. Some of the rooms have disabled access and we'll reserve them for people who need them.

We've worked hard to make sure that the site is accessible

Many session rooms, the communal dining room and some accommodation rooms are suitable for wheelchairs. However, there is a steep incline to some of the session rooms, making them harder to access.

Finally, do please tell us in your application if you have mobility problems.

Get in touch if you have any questions and we can advise you.

All the food is supervised kosher.

If you have any special dietary requirements, please make sure we know - there's space for this on the application form and call the office if there's anything else we need to know.

You can eat indoors in the dining room or outdoors on the lawn or grab a take-away meal and eat during a session.

Green is good

We've worked hard to make Fest as green as possible.

  • we've asked our caterer to use organic, sustainable, locally sourced, free-range, fair-trade and seasonal ingredients where possible
  • we'll keep packaging and disposables to a minimum
  • we'll place recycling points in convenient spots around the site

Share your ideas on how we can do even better.

Coaches
Read more

We're laying on coaches from North West London, as long as enough people want it:

  • on Thursday morning for trekkers (07:30)
  • on the afternoon of Thursday (13:30, 18:30) and the morning of Friday (07:30)
and back again:
  • on Monday (13:30, 14:30).

Book your coach place (there's an option on the application form) no later than Friday 7 August. It's not practicable for us to pay for a partially filled coach, so we might have to turn some people down.

  • a Transpeak bus runs between Manchester and Nottingham via Bakewell
