Childcare Assistance

People with childcare experience can now attend Limmudfest08 at a reduced rate in return for helping out in the crèche or nursery for a few hours a day with the new Childcare Assistance Scheme.

You'll receive £100 off your adult place at Fest (or more by arrangement - fest08-yads[at]limmud.org ).

Criteria for Limmudfest childcare volunteers

  • You must be willing to look after children or babies who will not be your own
  • You will be required to work in the nursery or crèche for the amount of time you have agreed with the scheme coordinator (three hours a day)
  • You will be required to attend childcare assistance meetings as necessary
  • You must have some proven childcare experience (looking after your own children is acceptable!)
  • You will be asked to have a Criminal Records Bureau check (this is standard practice for people working with children and you may already have one of these)

If you fulfil these criteria you may be eligible for a reduction in your Fest fees.

How to apply - NOW ONLINE (but bear with us)

This is a new scheme, and we've come up with a bit of a fudge with the application process making the most of existing forms. Please bear with us; we are doing it this way because we think that it's better to have the process online as much as possible.

If you are going to be coming to Fest with children of your own, then email fest08-yads[at]limmud.org or call the office on 020 8458 7965 for instructions.

If you are not coming to Fest with children, then:

1. Apply for Fest for you on your own (others travelling with you will need to apply separately), say that you're a student in the application box and tick the YAD box on the volunteer section - this will give you the discount
2. Apply to the childcare scheme by filling in a 'YAD' form (say you're a student and in the institution box write 'CAS')
3. We'll get back to you quickly!

If there are any problems, then email fest08-yads[at]limmud.org or call the office on 020 8458 7965.
