Brighton & Hove Day Limmud is back, with a new venue, new presenters and a range of activities to interest all ages, lifestyles and backgrounds. 

We are proud to invite you to our third Day Limmud, in the historic and atmospheric setting of Roedean School – one of the world’s most famous girl’s schools. 

The impressive setting is complemented by the rich variety of local, national and international presenters who include: 

    • Controversial columnist and author Julie Burchill.
    • Lawyer, writer and campaigner Anthony Julius.

Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you can be sure of a warm Limmud welcome, when you join us for a day of Jewish culture and discovery. We have sessions covering all aspects of Jewish life from philosophy and the arts, to history and science. There will be performances, discussions and debates. 

What is included?

  • A inspiring day-long cultural event in Limmud's unique style, with a choice of more than 40 presenters over 6 sessions, including a finale performance.
  • Exciting and varied children's and young person's programme run by experienced local leaders
  • A light kosher lunch (including vegetarian option) and all-day refreshments
  • A marketplace, selling a range of Judiaca and books.
  • A chance to see inside one of the famous schools in the world, while relaxing in the elegant courtyard setting.
  • A supervised crèche facility (for children aged three and under) - additional cost applies 

Venue and time 

Roedean School is just off the A259, 5 minutes drive east of Brighton City Centre.

There is ample car parking in the grounds. The site is accessible by wheelchair.  

Registration will start at 9:00am, with sessions beginning at 10:00am and running until 6:30pm. Places are limited, so book early and get the best prices!
