Prayer appears to be the central feature of Jewish ritualistic practice, but the word itself is derived from the Latin meaning 'to beg', which, as a concept, is entirely antithetical to Judaism, as is the idea that we can somehow change God's mind. How can this be, and indeed, if this is so, why bother praying?

We often hear anti-metric arguments in the media but never hear the other side of the argument. Come and hear why the imperial/metric measurement mess is bad for us all. The case for abolishing the British imperial system and making the metric system our only measurement system.
