Organisation: Spanish and Portuguese Jews' Congregation Israel Elia was born in 1956 in Djerba, Tunisia into a closely knit and strongly traditional Jewish community. He gained his degree and semicha in London, where he now works as a rabbi in the Spanish and Portuguese Jews’ Congregation at Lauderdale Road. |

Organisation: Member of Parliament Louise Ellman was elected to the UK House of Commons as the Labour Member for Liverpool Riverside on 1st May 1997 and is Vice President of the Parliamentary Committee Against Anti-Semitism, Chair of the Jewish Labour Movement and Vice-Chair of Labour Friends of Israel. She is a Council Member of the Holocaust Educational Trust. |

Yehoshua Engelman

Organisation: Yakar Tel Aviv Yehoshua Engelman is the rabbi and educational director of the new Yakar Study Centre in Tel Aviv. He is also on the Jerusalem Kolot faculty and teaches at Siach Yitzhak Hesder Yeshiva. Yehoshua composes, produces and performs on albums of Jewish music and is a practising psychotherapist. |

Yaffa Epstein

Organisation: Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies Yaffa Epstein holds a law degree from Bar Ilan University. She has studied at the Pardes Kollel, and Matan and teaches Talmud, prayer and contemporary issues courses at Pardes and SIACH, a programme of the Alexander Muss Institute for Israel Education. She is a member of the Executive Board of Mavoi Satum and is currently pursuing an MA in Talmud. |

Esther Eshel

Esther Eshel is a lecturer at the Bible Department, Bar Ilan University, where she researches the late books of the Bible and Jewish literature of the Second Temple period and epigraphy (the study of inscriptions). She has published 13 scrolls found in cave 4 at Qumran. |

Hanan Eshel

Hanan Eshel is an archaeologist, teaching at Bar Ilan University. His field of interest is refuge caves from the Bar Kokhba revolt, and the Qumran scrolls. He has excavated a dozen caves that Jews fled to in 135 CE and in them found 21 documents written on papyri. |
