Welcome to the big site visit on this Sunday!
I have heard from a number of you that you are coming and it should be fun. Here is the schedule that we have planned. It is based on which teams I know are coming and what they want to see.
We will start first thing in the morning (if you include travel time.) Please leave London by 9AM. We will gather at the Rootes Social Hall on the University of Warwick campus at 10:30 for an 11:00 AM start.
Please find driving directions from where you are coming from on http://www.warwick.ac.uk/. It is also convenient to take the train or even the MegaBus! Please let me know who is driving, who needs rides, and I will try to match these up.
Please park in Lot 4a. This is important! Get a ticket and we will get you free parking. This is term time so parking rules are enforced.
We will bring some kosher snacks but you might bring your own sandwich for a more complete lunch on the go.
The structure of the day is as follows:
11-12 We will start with a general tour of the campus for about an hour. We encourage everyone to go on this tour even if you have been on previous site visits. We have a better idea of how the site will work and we would like everyone to be on the same page. This is the time when we would encourage general volunteers from your teams who wish to see the site to tour with us. They may not want the detailed stops later. We will not stop on this part of the day to make detailed examinations of any rooms.
From this point forward, attendance on each section is optional depending on team needs.
12-1 Rootes Social - This will be a key visit for essentially every team.
1-2:30 Student Union and Arts Center - this is an in-depth look at all of the functions in the Student Union. This will be for all groups except Young Limmud, who at this time will do a detailed tour of Humanities. Time will be allowed for Young Limmud to see the two spaces of interest to them in the Union. Programming and Shock and F&R will visit the Arts Center.
2:30-4 Ramphal, Science and some of Humanities -- Most groups will depart. Programming and F&R will continue on to these three buildings. There will also be a brief visit to Humanities.
4PM End.
Again, all are welcome for some or all of the visit.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
