We've just passed the 600 applicant mark. Every area is booking quickly, and Shabbat in particular is proving popular. We also have over 100 people already in the on-site hotel style rooms. Anyone booking in the next few days has a chance to win a free place provided they quote 'JC Comp' where marked at the end of the booking process.
WELCOME DEBORAH
Deborah Berwald has just joined the Office to work with the programming team. Terrific to have her, and should mean that Ray, Julia and Judy are able to catch the odd breath. Googled her name ... JC a few weeks ago says Facebook is at the centre of her life, she goes on daily and can spend at least an hour on it at a time. She'll have another 2,000 friends within a few weeks. If you Facebook, poke her and get the info by signing up to the Limmud Conference Facebook group.

Indulge your brain. The outstanding Florence Melton Mini-School starts soon in Hampstead. Run in partnership with Limmud, they're offering 10 volunteers £40 off the first year's fees (remember to ask for the money off). This makes it £400 - or £13 a week for 2 hours with 2 amazing teachers.

Participants wanted us to continue our Conference visits to the Holocaust Museum, Beth Shalom in Nottinghamshire. So this year we're arranging a whole programming day there. Want to help out? conf07-volunteers@limmud.org

28 October - Newcastle Day Limmud - speakers include Michelle Hanson (Guardian columnist and author), Paul Kriwaczek (author of "Yiddish Civilisation") and Shmuel ben-Tovim (economics minister at the Israeli embassy) - www.limmud.org/day/newcastle/ (and we'll also have a Conference stall there)
11 November - we'll be at the Israel Expo, Wembley
January 2008 - by demand we'll be offering Torah L'Am early next year
