Coming with the family

Limmud Conference is for the whole family, no matter what age the children

  • babies and toddlers are safe in the fully-staffed crèche
  • younger children have their own busy, stimulating programme at Young Limmud
  • Nite Club for older children gives active minds something fun to do in the evenings
  • our free baby-sitting service for younger children means you can make the most of the evening programming on offer
  • first time with your family? Call us and we’ll put you in touch with an experienced family

But this is not just about giving parents a break. From Afternoon Club sessions to the Young Limmud programme to Nite Club for older children – young people can take advantage of high quality Limmud programming that parallels their parents’ experience and ensures everyone in the family can take one step further on their Jewish journey.

If you're between the ages of 4 and 17 - Young Limmud is for you...

Young Limmud Conference 2008 is ful of old favourites from previous years as well as brand new programmes - it promises to be unforgettable.

Whether it's your first Limmud or your 100th, the Young Limmud team will offer you five days of learning, adventures, sports, multi-media sessions and the chance to make new friends for life.

new this year
  • More presenters from main conference
  • A teen programme written by teens
  • The Great Ice Cream Challenge
  • Cookery Club
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Film and photography sessions
  • Family volunteering
  • Access to main conference sessions

We're dividing age groups in Young Limmud Conference like this:

  • Reception - year 2
  • years 3 and 4
  • years 5 and 6
  • years 7 and 8
  • years 9 and 10
  • years 11 and 12 (the programme for this group will be more focused on Main Conference and on volunteering than in previous years)

We can support children with additional needs or with learning difficulties, but we do need to know well before the beginning of Conference. If we don't know, we can't organize provision properly. Let us know: conf08-ylc@limmud.org

If you're interested in being part of Young Limmud - or if you're a parent - you can get a better feel for what we do by taking a look at last year's handbook.

Important Changes to Young Limmud Application Process

It will only be possible to apply for Young Limmud Conference online. If you can't apply online, please contact the Limmud office. We've taken this step to ease the substantial task of processing paper applications.

The main Conference application forms and Young Limmud Conference application forms are separate. If you're applying for a Young Limmud place on your main application forms, we'll email you the Young Limmud Conference application form.

We cannot accept a child as part of Young Limmud Conference unless an application form has been completed for him or her.

Apply for Young Limmud Conference - the Young Limmud Application form will be available here very soon. Thank you for your patience.
